Poshmark has packed its latest seller update with new sourcing and Live tools, bundle changes, the ability to pay Promoted Closet ad fees directly from seller balances and additional details about a major Smart List AI overhaul and new Seller Hub coming soon.

The company says the latest updates are aimed at helping sellers make more sales with "more visibility into what's working" and less busywork, starting with a Sourcing Calendar showing what's currently hot and what Poshmark expects to be trending next.

The calendar, which can be paired with Sold Search to see recently purchased items, is the newest addition to Sourcing Insights, a feature Poshmark began rolling out in June using marketplace data updated daily to show fast-selling brand and category combinations from the previous seven days. The tool gives sellers a look at Poshmark’s own marketplace trends, though what is selling quickly on the site now won't necessarily tell sellers what they'll be able to source profitably.

More data and management tools are on the way with Seller Hub, which Poshmark first previewed in July as the “biggest change yet” to how sellers manage their businesses. There isn't much more detail about what Seller Hub will do beyond Poshmark saying it will be a "one-stop shop" for managing inventory, staying on top of sales and accessing business insights, with no specific launch date yet.

Poshmark also says Smart List AI is getting a major upgrade that will use pictures of the item, brand tag, care tag and other details to identify attributes including brand, category, material, size, condition and color before generating the title and description, providing pricing guidance and even choosing the cover photo. Testing is expected to begin soon.

That's a pretty ambitious upgrade from what the tool could do when I tested the beta version in late 2024.

Poshmark Launches Smart List AI Image-Based Listing Experience For Sellers
After a year of beta testing, Poshmark is rolling out Smart List AI-powered image-based features to streamline selling experience on the site.

Poshmark has acknowledged that image quality, lighting and item complexity can cause Smart List AI to identify details incorrectly, and sellers are still ultimately responsible for making sure AI-generated listings are accurate before publishing.

Posh Shows are getting a new Show Analytics Dashboard that will provide show-level views, sales and other performance metrics along with a 30-day recap. Poshmark acknowledged that Live sellers have said it's difficult to know how they're performing across shows, and the lack of useful show-level data has been a strange omission for a feature the company has put so much effort behind.

Poshmark is adding bulk upload for shows, allowing sellers to add inventory in batches as well as bulk update listing status and load items into the show tray. Sellers can also adjust auction duration and counter-bid timers.

The Live discovery feed is being redesigned to recommend shows based on individual shopper tastes, while buyers will be able to purchase items at the live price even when the listing isn't currently being featured. Pre-bidding will also allow shoppers to place bids before an auction begins.

Poshmark has been putting more resources behind Live, including employee-hosted shows for some brand partners and the recent move by longtime eBay seller Linda's Stuff to bring its selling and Live shopping operations to Poshmark as part of a broader shakeup of the company's consignment business.

Promoted Closet now accepts Apple Pay, Google Pay and Poshmark Redeemable Balance in addition to existing payment options, with Poshmark claiming sellers who promote their closets see up to a 40% increase in sales and 80% increase in listing views.

Promoted Closet started beta testing in 2023 and expanded to all US sellers in 2024, using a cost-per-click model where sellers set a weekly budget and Poshmark determines which eligible listings will be promoted in high-visibility areas like search results and brand pages.

The update doesn't change how Promoted Closet works, but allowing Redeemable Balance means sellers can now use money earned on Poshmark to pay Poshmark for advertising without cashing it out first, giving the company a more direct path to recapture seller earnings through ad spend.

Finally, Poshmark is giving bundle discounts more prominent placement in seller closets. A new real-time banner at the top of the closet shows buyers what discount they can receive and how close they are to qualifying, putting a feature that previously required shoppers to do a little more digging right in front of them.

The three-dot menu is back too, and Poshmark says it has simplified the details page to make it easier for shoppers to add multiple items from the same seller into one purchase.

The bundle changes follow Combined Orders finally being released earlier this year, another long-requested seller feature allowing multiple purchases from the same buyer within a 24-hour window to be combined into one shipment.
