eBay Loses VP Of Design As Aaron Carámbula Bounces Back To Meta
eBay has lost their VP of Design as Aaron Carámbula announces he has left the company to rejoin Meta and "support the next evolution of Facebook."
Carámbula posted the news in a LinkedIn update today, bringing an end to his 2.5 years career at eBay.
He joined eBay in 2022 after almost 10 years in various roles at Facebook/Meta, including support for and development of Live Shopping, shoppable content, messaging commerce, Marketplace verticals, onsite checkout, deals, and thrifting.

That makes the timing of his return to Meta even more interesting as they've recently made major changes to their Marketplace and Shopping offerings like ending pre-paid shipping labels through Facebook and phasing out the native onsite checkout feature Carámbula helped to originally develop.

Meta has also recently been expanding their Facebook Marketplace Partnership program, originally launched with eBay in January with Poshmark also jumping on board last month.

Carámbula's time at eBay is capped off by Evo, the massive brand design overhaul aimed at attracting younger shoppers to the site launched in November 2024.

No replacement has yet been announced and eBay has not responded to request for comment at time of publishing.
