eBay Sellers Hit With Massive FedEx Adjustments In Major Shipping Snafu

For the third week in a row, sellers are reporting they are still being hit for incorrect FedEx shipping adjustments.
Is this issue ever going to be fixed? I was just this morning charged again for a bunch of labels. This is 3 weeks in a row. Does it really need to take this long to fix a problem like this?
The Fedex scam continues, just got billed another $100+ for bogus adjustment fees and ebay seems not to care. When is eBay going to do something?

eBay's FedEx invoicing problems continue with sellers on the hook for hundreds of dollars of incorrect shipping adjustments.
Sellers report a new round of charges hitting their accounts in the last 24 hours.
@ValueAddedRS just got hit for another $100 in @FedEx label charges for packages that were properly dimensioned and weighted. Gotta call eBay and complain still. I am guessing both eBay and FedEx will pass the buck...

...as I received another one of these additional charges in the exact same amount as the ones from 3/25. So the problem is back. As of yet I do not see a statement from ebay. Hopefully they are aware again and these overcharges can be remedied.

Just got hit with $27 for a box that both weighed and measured less than I input. Thought eBay had fixed this!
Same problem again. New Fedex fake underpaid fees! Over $500 in total ! Refund for previous underpaid fees still not proceed! Clear scam from Fedex and eBay
eBay community staff have not yet responded but even if the answer is the same and refunds are promised, it is simply not good enough to expect sellers to float the bill for a problem that is clearly between eBay and FedEx.
While every carrier may occasionally back charge for adjustments, these are obviously not legitimate charges and sellers should not have to pay the price - eBay should be covering any FedEx back charges directly and immediately until the issue is corrected instead of allowing them to be deducted from seller funds.
In the meantime, I would advise sellers to use a different carrier if you must print labels through eBay or use a different service provider to purchase your labels.
UPDATE eBay community staff have now confirmed the cause of the issue and that sellers will be refunded for incorrect FedEx adjustments within 5 business days.
Hey everyone, please note that due to a FedEx invoicing issue the week of March 25, 2024, some sellers were incorrectly charged for FedEx label adjustments. We apologize for the inconvenience, and eBay will refund these amounts within the next 5 business days.
It may be worth noting that by pushing these refunds out 5 business days, that will make them occur after the end of Q1 2024, which could impact quarterly financial reporting.
eBay sellers are shocked by notifications of massive back charges for FedEx adjustments in major shipping snafu.
The complaints have been pouring in to the eBay community and across social media, with some sellers speculating that FedEx is charging the difference between regular retail rates and the discounted rates offered when purchasing labels through eBay.
@AskeBay @ebay FedEx Labels are charging sellers after the fact as underpaid. Please fix this asap. It’s obviously a huge bug in either the estimation at time of creating label or on their end. The dimensions and weight is correct. This happened 3 times in the last 2 days to me

The amount being billed as underpaid is almost double the actual label printed in every case (3 for me so far) and I always round up dimensions and weight, even if it’s a centimeter over. I’m out over $40 so far and I was counting on those earnings!

So it appears FedEx is at again with their racket of "cost adjustments". I woke up to a dozen of them....and none are legitimate as I make the FedEx Office give me a drop off receipt WITH the weight on it. The "actual" weight and the "billable" weights are the same on the email from Ebay so maybe there is just a glitch in their system as it appears I am not the only one to get them. Has anyone contacted Ebay about this being a glitch yet?
It appears the adjustments are being made via "Retail Rate" and not the "eBay Rate".
According to the eBay Shipping Calculator, the dim/weight data I originally entered and then charged for, is correct.
Hopefully this will get fixed today, before my card gets charged. I'm told I now owe over $87 and not happy about it!
This is horrible- thousands upon thousands of dollars removed off seller's accounts because of this Ebay/Fed X issue. And you're exactly right.."These charges are going to our bank accounts to take the money and some cannot afford for that to happen"...already during these times money is tight and this happens. No warning. No nothing . Just remove the money.
eBay staff have acknowledged the issue and say that the shipping team is working on it, but have given no details on how and when sellers will be refunded for these significant back charges.
Our Shipping team is aware of this issue and is working with our Rates team on a resolution.
There is now a sitewide ticket open on this issue with our highest priority to resolve. I will have this added to the Tech board shortly but if yourself or other sellers are running into to this, I highly recommend reaching out to customer support and having your account and example of what item/ tracking this happened on to ALERT15247.
