Poshmark Hands Out Warnings & Suspensions On First Day Of New Excessive Listing Removal Policy
Poshmark's new Excessive Listing Removal policy went into effect May 1 and sellers are raising the alarm over warnings and suspensions they say are unfair or in error.
The new policy was announced last week, giving sellers little time to prepare and understand how it will impact their activity on the platform.

After receiving significant backlash from sellers who worried this change would penalize them for cross posting and selling items on other marketplaces, Poshmark published a company blog post intended to address concerns and provide additional clarity - including saying that removing items from Poshmark because they've sold elsewhere is still allowed and will not trigger enf
New Policy Details
Last week we announced a new Excessive Listing Removal policy. We have heard and sincerely appreciate your feedback on this policy. Ahead of the May 1st policy launch, we want to provide clear guidance on what’s allowed and confirm that thoughtfully refreshing your closet is still encouraged!
What you can do:Refresh listings that haven’t sold for 60+ days: You are welcome to refresh older listings to keep your closet vibrant and up-to-date. This policy is about how often you revisit your listings—not how you do it.Improve your refreshed listings: Add new photos, update titles and descriptions, or use SmartList AI to enhance your listings.Use in-app features to reach shoppers: Price Drop and Offer to Likers are great ways to boost visibility.Remove listings when no longer available: If your item sells elsewhere or is out of stock, you can delete it from Poshmark.Continue using Copy Listing feature: Copy Listing can be used to create similar listings anytime or to refresh existing listings after 60 days.
What we’re discouraging:Excessive deletion and relisting of the same items: Removal and relisting in fewer than 60 days.Behavior that circumvents fair discovery: Any action intended to gain unfair search or marketing advantages.
As the marketplace evolves, so do our policies. Refreshing your listings remains an important part of a successful selling strategy—our goal is to ensure it’s done in a way that benefits the entire community. Together, we can keep Poshmark fresh, fair and full of authentic discovery.
That clarification was welcome news for sellers who cross list items on other marketplaces - but that welcome news has since turned into a nightmare as sellers began receiving warnings and suspensions on the first day of the new policy.
Affected sellers started flooding reddit yesterday with reports that Poshmark is taking enforcement action for listings which were ended before the new policy went into effect or which were ended because they sold elsewhere.
Anyone else get this today?

This popped up in my news feed just now. Haven't delisted/relisted in days in anticipation of the change. Anyone else?...
...Just turned into suspension !!!...
...I delisted sold items. I haven't done a mass delist/relist since they announced this crap. I sell on Ebay also and just sold like 4 items and I delisted those.
It's bad. They are retroactively enforcing the rule to include delisting and relisting from days/weeks ago. They are also suspending sellers who delete listings that sold on other platforms. As usual, Posh changes something and it goes to sh*t immediately.
Got an e-mail earlier saying I was going to be suspended soon if I didn't follow the rules... I followed the rules, and still got suspended an hour later.
I am so mad. The only things I delisted were items that sold elsewhere. So overall, nothing abnormal. I followed their dumb rules and was hit anyway.

Anyone else get an email today saying you were suspected of violating the excessive listing removal policy? It would be nice if they actually attached examples.
Yup! And I haven’t delisted and relisted a single item today. Only delisted things that sold on eBay. They sent the warning email at 12 and the suspension email at 2 and I didn’t do anything between the two. I’m pissed.
I haven’t delisted and relisted a single thing today. The only things I’ve delisted have sold on eBay, which they made clear wouldn’t be an issue.
Per their notification and TOS this went into effect today, so what we did last month or even yesterday shouldn’t matter at all. They also sent me a warning at 12Pm and the suspension email at 2, between which I didn’t do a single thing.
Sellers have been attempting to contact support about the issue, but so far aren't getting any answers.
Has anyone else gotten this email today?

I got this email at 12 and then one saying I’ve been suspended for 7 days at 2. I haven’t delisted and relisted anything today. The only things I’ve delisted have sold on another platform.
I’ve contacted customer service already, but they said they’ll answer in 1-3 days, so there goes 1-3 days of sales I guess. I’m livid.
Poshmark has yet to acknowledge the issue publicly, so it's not clear if these warnings and suspensions were simply made in error or if the company really does intend to enforce the new policy this strictly, contradicting their previous statements that sellers who cross post and sell items on other marketplaces would not affected.
Stay tuned for updates and let us know in the comments below if you've received a warning or suspension under the new Poshmark Excessive Listing Removal policy!
