Poshmark Responds To Seller Backlash With New Updates, Pledges Greater Transparency In 2026
Poshmark has responded to recent seller discontent with new updates and promises of improved transparency and communication about where the company is going under new leadership in 2026.
As CEO Manish Chandra and other executives left the company in the back half of 2025, with Korean parent company Naver taking a more active role in steering policy and product development at Poshmark, sellers have been on a roller coaster ride with the platform.
From controversial changes like the Excessive Listing Removal policy, feed visibility and discovery, killing off and then reintroducing bulk sharing, new cancellation policies, and Poshmark beginning to compete directly against sellers by hosting their own live Posh Shows, seller complaints about lack of transparency and communication have reached a fevered pitch in recent months.

But now the company is trying to win back some goodwill by introducing in app "Posh Previews" providing quarterly insights into priorities and changes for the platform as well as a new blog post with more details about recent seller updates.
For the first quarterly preview, Poshmark highlighted work they are doing to help the right buyers find the right listings and build trust in the platform.
Your First Look at What’s Ahead in 2026
As we step into a new year, we want to start with a sincere thank you. Your dedication helped make 2025 our strongest holiday season yet. We know Poshmark has evolved over the past year, and we’re excited to keep building together in 2026.
Today, we’re introducing Posh Preview, a quarterly update designed to give you more transparency into Poshmark’s priorities. At the start of each quarter, you’ll get a look at what we’re working on and have the opportunity to share feedback to help shape what’s next.
This year, we are focused on helping the right buyers find your listings, building trust across the marketplace, and creating a more modern and seamless selling and shopping experience.
App Updates
Poshmark has added an in-app Seller Updates hub that will be updated when they make meaningful app improvements or launch new features as well as making changes to streamline and simplify in-app notifications and refreshing the app experience - including allowing sellers to order USPS Ground Advantage supplies directly through the app.

Insights
Later this quarter, Poshmark is introducing listing-level data so sellers can understand which items are getting the most interest, allowing them to spot trends and better manage their businesses.
Cancellation Policy
Sellers were upset last month when stealth updates were made to Poshmark's cancellation policy, resulting in sudden account restrictions and suspensions with no warning and no clear guidelines about what thresholds could cause enforcement action to be taken.

Poshmark has now released additional information, clarifying that sellers who cancel more than 3% of orders within a rolling 90-day period may face restrictions, but that excludes buyer-requested cancellations and cancellations for bundling with another order.
Building Buyer Trust Together
We want shoppers to feel confident buying on Poshmark. Reliable order fulfillment and fast shipping help build trust and keep buyers coming back. We’re introducing a new policy to encourage timely order fulfillment.
Sellers who cancel more than 3% of orders within a rolling 90-day period may see their accounts placed in a restricted state. This excludes buyer-requested cancellations and cancellations for bundling with another order.
Bulk Upload Improvements
Poshmark has now integrated their Smart Sell feature, which allows sellers to automate offers with minimum prices for acceptance, into Bulk Uploading.
Smart Sell is now available in the Bulk Upload tool, making it easier for you to automate selling actions across listings. With this update, .csv files must be used as they reduce errors.
Hot Deals Label
You may have noticed a new “Hot Deals” label appearing on select categories and price points. After seeing strong early results for both sellers and buyers, we’ve expanded this feature to all users.
Combined Orders
Sellers have been asking for a way to combine orders for years and Poshmark is finally delivering, with a Combined Orders feature for single-item purchases, bundles, and Posh Show purchases.
Sellers now have the option to combine multiple purchases from the same buyer made within a 24-hour window. This feature was requested by Posh Show sellers with repeat buyers in mind, but it’s available to all sellers across both Posh Shows and catalog listings.
- Combining orders is entirely at the seller’s discretion. Sellers are not required to wait 24 hours to ship in order to accommodate potential combined orders. We continue to encourage fast shipping, and shipping labels are sent immediately after each purchase.
- Once an order has been shipped, it is no longer eligible to be combined. How and whether you use this feature or market it to your buyers is up to you.
Some orders from the same buyer may not have the option to be combined. including:
- Cancelled orders
- Orders placed outside the 24-hour window
- Orders that have already been combined
- Orders that have already been marked as shipped
- Orders placed to different buyer shipping addresses

Testing
The Poshmark blog also detailed several new features the company is currently testing, advising users that these features may roll out gradually, be available to a limited group, evolve over time, or not launch at all based on what they learn from community feedback.
Here are the current items Poshmark says they are testing:
Search Photo Layout Updates
To make it easier for sellers to take photos and create listings, we’ll be testing portrait (tall, vertical) images in search results. If a broader change to photo orientation is planned, additional details and lead time will be shared.
Poshmark already tried this update back in November to massive backlash from sellers, mostly centered around the fact that it would be burdensome to have to retake photos to fit the new aspect ratio.

If Poshmark really believes this change is needed and that portrait images will perform better with buyers, they need to find some way to make the transition smooth and not require sellers to retake potentially thousands of pictures in order to have their items still displayed correctly in search and item pages.
Shipping Reminders
Sellers have asked for easier ways to manage their sales. In response, we will be testing new shipping reminders, including SMS* (if you opt in) and closet banners, to help sellers stay on track and fulfill orders more quickly.
Addressing Inactive Listings
We’ve heard buyers’ frustration when they make an offer and receive no response, or purchase an item that is never shipped. To improve the buyer experience, we’ll be testing ways to address inactive listings on the platform while benefiting sellers who keep their listings active and up to date.
Closet Personalization
We’re testing a more personalized closet browsing experience to help buyers discover relevant listings more easily. With this test, the order of listings may vary based on what a shopper is looking for. All available listings will remain visible.
Note: These updates are currently only available to US sellers.
