Australia Post

Australia post has finally updated their site to reflect current service disruptions impacting all levels of service.

Due to ongoing safety concerns and limited flight capacity, we’re experiencing temporary service disruptions for items sent to and from Israel.

Service disruptions will remain in place until we can guarantee availability of transport to and from Israel, and safe delivery. Customers who have recently sent items to Israel may have their items returned.

  • We will automatically remove your Late Shipment Rate defects and related Negative or Neutral Feedback received for transactions between the above dates.

Etsy

Etsy has still not posted a public statement, but sellers in the region report receiving this notice via email:

Dear Etsy seller,
We know that so many in our community are facing an incredibly trying and uncertain time. As the conflict unfolds, we want you to know that now, as always, we’re here to help and support you, our small businesses and makers.

We’re taking several immediate actions – all detailed below – that we hope will ease the weight of managing your shop. We’ve also included a few suggestions about your shop that we hope might be helpful.

We’re covering your current balance and deferring your next bill
We’re covering all the fees your shop incurred from October 1 to October 9, 2023 and we are covering any remaining balance from September 2023.

We are also rolling your fees incurred from October 10 through the rest of October 2023 up with your November 2023 bill and both will be due on December 1, 2023. Your shop will continue to be in good standing, despite not paying your October bill. You may still get overdue payments notifications, but you can ignore these until your payment is due. We hope this helps you during this time.

We’re extending Star Seller badges
We’re temporarily adjusting the program to support Star Sellers in the region. If you earned a Star Seller badge in October 2023, we’ve automatically granted you a badge for November 2023.

Due to the current conflict in Israel, most major US shipping carriers are experiencing disruptions in service into the country. eBay is temporarily pausing sales from the United States to buyers with shipping addresses in Israel as we cannot ensure that these packages will reach their final destination.

We are closely monitoring the developments and will update you as soon as soon as we are able to resume regular operations in Israel.

You may be concerned about shipping delays for items already shipped. If you recently shipped an item to Israel, eBay will automatically protect your seller performance, including:

  • Your late shipment rate
  • “Item not received” cases due to late delivery as long as you uploaded tracking before the case was opened, and have a physical scan from the carrier
  • Service metrics for open item not received cases
  • Negative and neutral feedback protections.

If you have recently shipped an item using eBay International Shipping, you are automatically protected once we receive your item at our domestic shipping hub.

As the situation evolves, we will provide updates as needed.

eBay UK and Australia have posted statements saying there may be shipping delays, sellers will receive protection for late shipments and INR cases and delivery estimates will be extended, but stopping short of actually pausing sales.

Recent events throughout Israel may be impacting parcels in and out of affected areas. However we're here to support you and keep your eBay business running.

We’re implementing measures for sellers sending items to Israel. These protections apply to transactions from September 24th until further notice:

We will automatically remove your Late Shipment Rate defects and related Negative or Neutral Feedback received for transactions between the above dates.

Your Item Not Received (INR) count in Service Metrics, along with any related Negative or Neutral Feedback, will be removed automatically for transactions between the above dates. To be eligible, upload valid tracking before the estimated delivery date.

We’re also extending onsite Estimated Delivery Dates for affected areas to manage buyer expectations and give you more time to fulfill your orders. Keep an eye on the announcement board for any further updates.

Notably there is no announcement in the eBay Germany community at this time, though it's not clear if that means the same policies have not been applied to eBay.de.
