Etsy UK September 18th Payment Deposits Returned
Etsy sellers in the UK are reporting September 18th payment deposits were returned by several banks. Etsy says it's a bank problem, the banks say no deposits were even attempted - and sellers are stuck in the middle.
Anybody had their deposit returned today?
Received the email about deposit being sent to my bank as usual but now checked Etsy balance only to see the deposit was returned.
Never happened before so bit confused.
I didn't receive mine... it was returned. Etsy claim my bank rejected it due to incorrect information but within 15mins after I checked with my bank Etsy suddenly told me it was a banking delay as I'm in the Uk
Yes me too, returned deposit - its Halifax.
Thanks all, looks like it's not just one bank then. And as usual, Etsy being such an amazing communicator, we know fxxx all why this is happening.
Mine was returned too! Praying the deposit goes through today, im with Bank of Scotland!
I have just had this happen yesterday for the first time in being on Etsy for a couple of years now. I called my bank this morning and they looked and didn’t see anything and said they would not decline a deposit.
Etsy returned by deposit. Is this normal???

I was supposed to get a deposit yesterday it was sent to my bank but then it was returned. They said I'll get it today. Has this happened to anyone before??
Yes I had the same issue yesterday. I contacted Etsy customer support and they said my bank had returned it. Talked to my bank and they said there was no attempt to deposit and that they wouldn’t refuse any incoming money anyway.
Tried to contact Etsy customer support again and they didn’t respond. I have just noticed the customer support tab has disappeared off my app and the desktop version. Etsy says it’s scheduled to deposit today but I’m not confident. I’m in the UK.
