eBay Search Bar Non-Responsive 5-18-23

eBay users report problem with search functionality which causes the search bar to become non-responsive after completing a search.
So after I do an initial search and try to use the search bar again, it's non-responsive. By non-responsive I mean it will not let me type into it when I click it. When I open a new webpage it works fine but only for the initial search. I've restarted my laptop and tried using Chrome and Edge.
Anyone else experiencing this or have any suggestions as how to fix it?
@AskeBay Weird search bug— I can search in the field at the top to look but I can’t edit it or delete after a search—have to go to eBay and search from there—any idea how to fix?

Starting today (5/18/23), when eBay first loads, can put mouse over search bar and click anywhere, cursor will follow - can fill in search item, etc. While eBay searches and refreshes (animated icon) still can mouse over search bar and click.
After the page is loaded with the items, hovering mouse over search bar (just the top of the page) and clicking - nothing works. Again, symptom just started...
Having the same issue. I can do one search but if I want to do another search, I have to open eBay in a new window. Hope this gets resolved soon for buyers!
I am having the same problem, tho' I first noticed it yesterday. I use Firefox. I put in a search, then when I go back to search bar to change it I cannot put anything else in. If I open a new window, I can put in one search, then nothing!
Same here, different computers cleared browser and such and has happened off and on all day so far. Windows Chrome is what I use.
So far this problem has not been added to the list of ongoing technical issues in the community and eBay staff have not responded or ackowledged the issue. I'll update as soon as more information is available.
