eBay sellers are reporting a glitch affecting deducting selling fees or processing refunds from Managed Payments balance or back up payment method on file.

Can’t pay fees, can’t reach anyone at ebay. Craptastic service!
I’ve always had my sellers fees deducted by my Ebay balance (if I’ve forgotten to quickly zero it out) or it’s been paid through my linked accounts. Now all of a sudden they’re not pulling the payment AND the link to pay the balance doesn’t work.... it just sits there. Of course, I’m getting threa…

Of course, I'm getting threatening robo messages from Ebay but naturally there's no way to actually communicate with a human. I"m really getting tired of this place and I've been here a bunch of years.

We got a message earlier today that our cancellation couldn't be processed:

"We were unable to charge your payment method for the refund of this cancellation. Please add or update your payment instrument and try again."

Not only do we have eBay balance, but our payment is still valid and has been registered with them for months.

Sounds like yes, this is yet another glitch.

Another seller stated their account was actually suspend for non-payment of fees because eBay failed to successfully complete an automatic payment from their connected bank account.

Suspended for Failure to Pay on Autopay

I am a top rated seller and have had payments set up to go through my bank automatically. It has been this way for close to a year since managed payments took over. This month, I was suspended from listing for an outstanding balance. My store subscription fee and a bunch of UPS labels hit and instead of turning to my bank account as they have done for a year, Ebay suspended my listing privileges. I spoke with several customer service reps and was finally told to make a one time payment while eBay tried to correct the error in their system. No apologies, just an acknowledgement that it was a system error.

Beware Sellers....if you have a notice of outstanding fees, you may be suspended even if you have set up autopay. Apparently just another way for eBay to get rid of those of us not selling sneakers or sports cards.

Refunds keep failing
I am attempting to refund a buyer for a combined shipping discount. I tried and it failed 3 times yesterday, once today. The e-mail subject is : “We’re unable to process a refund” The body of the message states: “There was a technical issue and we couldn’t process the refund you sent. We apolog…

eBay added an option to be able to make a one time payment for balance due back in December. I'm not sure if users who are affected by this glitch will be able to use this method, but it's the best suggestion I have for now.

eBay Managed Payments One Time Payment For Balance Due
eBay has added additional options for sellers to pay when there is a balance due on your Managed Payments account.

If you're experiencing this issue, let us know if the one time payment works in the comments below!
