eBay Partners With Phonecheck To Certify Refurbished Phones
eBay is adding additional certification to Certified Refurbished mobile devices in partnership with Phonecheck. The Phonecheck verification program will be coming to the US market this month, with expansion to other regions on the roadmap.
eBay Refurbished shoppers will have even more confidence in the smartphones they select from eBay’s thoroughly vetted and trusted top-rated sellers knowing that they have also been tested and certified through Phonecheck’s rigorous 80-point diagnostic and certified data-wipe process, accredited by the Asset Disposal and Information Security Alliance (ADISA).
Phonecheck-certified devices come with the company’s exclusive Device History Report, providing precise details on the device’s authenticity, full functionality, ownership status, carrier information, repair history and more.
This certification from Phonecheck comes on top of the extensive protections included with every eBay Refurbished product, such as leading one- or two-year Allstate warranties, free shipping, eBay Money Back Guarantee and free 30-day returns.
While the press release didn't give a lot of details, I did find this list of what's included in a standard Phonecheck certification on their website.
A PhoneCheck SM Certification assures both the buyer and the seller that the mobile device is in 100% working condition.
Once the device has been Certified by PhoneCheck SM, both buyers and sellers can enter into transactions with confidence that the device has been inspected and passed a 3rd party independent certification.
Upon completion, a PhoneCheck SM Certification report is generated.
