UPDATE 3-15-24

It looks like we can add changing prices when switch between using desktop and mobile app to work on drafts to the list of listing issues currently being experienced by eBay sellers.

Re: eBay changing prices in my drafts?
This has just started happening to me over the past few days of listing. I typically list around 5 items per day...so I know the pricing that I come up with. I sell used clothing in the $20 to $40 price range. I have had several items that I listed for 24.95 end up listing as $15 or $10. A shirt…

A shirt I listed yesterday that was drafted for 24.95 sold this morning for $10. bleep!!! Ebay's crap algorithm for suggested prices is almost never right because it cannot take into account condition or desirability of size, pattern, color, features etc. This specific shirt would have sold for $18+ with no issues.

I also draft on my desktop pc but list through my iPhone once it get pictures taken. I have a "newish" iPhone 13...so cannot imagine that is an issue. I will need to check if the setting for auto pricing is on but it is not something I would have changed or agreed to.

Buy it now price changes during draft

Not sure if anyone else is having problems with the mobile app changing their draft price but I noticed yesterday and it was worth a look. Going back a couple of days my pricing was way off. I make my drafts on my desktop computer filling everything in including the price then I take photos through my phone app on the drafts.

I usually take the photos and white out the background then post. But today I just so happened to notice after my post the price was way off the original price I put in when I made a draft. I had to go in and manually edit all listings for the last 2 days to fix prices. This is crazy. Is anyone else having this issue?

Other sellers are also reporting eBay has been changing title and description information without their permission and removing images.

eBay sellers are experiencing intermittent listing issues today with some reporting newly created listings are duplicating and others reporting their descriptions are not publicly viewable once listings go live.

The disappearing descriptions seem to be happening across a variety of browsers and impacted sellers say they have tried clearing cookies and cache but it does not fix the issue.

Missing Item Descriptions?
Noticed earlier on a sold item, No item description. (took forever to find it...ugh) Just opened up a few more of my running listings. No item description at all. It’s missing. Checked on another desktop here, signed out on that one...no description. Checked on my phone...It’s there. eBay kill…

Checked on my phone...It's there. eBay killin' me today.

I also have missing descriptions on many of my listings.

I tried Chrome, Firefox, and Edge, but the browser does not seem to be the issue. Also cleared cache and cookies, no difference in doing that either.

When I open the listing to revise, the description is there. I just cannot see it when looking at the view item page.

Item description removed
I have an item listed for sale. When it didn’t sell the first time, eBay automatically relisted it. However, the new listing has removed my “Item description from the seller.” When I try to edit the new listing, the item description area is not only empty but grayed out so I can’t edit it. When I try to edit the new listing, the item description area is not only empty but grayed out so I can't edit it. This seems like a huge bug.

The duplicated listing issue appears to have been short lived, but could still cause problems if sellers are unaware and don't know to check their newly created listings.

Heads up: Listings Duplicating (March 14)
Listings created using the website are double posting. Click publish button once, and 2 identical listings with different item numbers are generated, using 2 of my store insertions. I don’t know how big of an issue this is. It began a short while ago and happened with 2 listings in a row which i…

Click publish button once, and 2 identical listings with different item numbers are generated, using 2 of my store insertions.

I don't know how big of an issue this is. It began a short while ago and happened with 2 listings in a row which is why I'm posting this heads up for sellers to be alert.

I have more items to list today so I plan to use the listing scheduler in hopes I can delete any duplicates before they go live and use up all my store insertions.

Neither of these technical issues have been acknowledged yet by eBay and as usual, the system status page shows all green with no current outages or disruptions reported.
