Ad Blockers Render eBay Unusable For Some Users As Search Results Stall On Loading

Just noticed tonight that ebay seems slow to the point it is unusable with adblockplus on.

I'm having the same issue. Once I turned off adblockplus on ebay I could then get ebay to work correctly.

For those who use AdBlockPlus and don't want to completely disable it when using eBay, frequent community contributor EburtonLab has provided a potential workaround.

Try disabling just your ABP filters -- click in the Ad Block Plus icon in your browser address bar, then on the gear icon to view your settings.

Choose "Advanced", scroll down to "Filters" and click on the toggle under Status by the ABP filter line at the top to disable just those filters.

That should allow you to keep blocking most ads and also load eBay search results without slowing down.

Almost this exact same scenario played out in 2022 when an update to AdBlockPlus filters started hiding some items from search results, even if they were not Promoted Listings ads.
