Poshmark Names eBay, GlassDoor Alum Heather Friedland As First Chief Product Officer
Poshmark's executive leadership evolution continues with Heather Friedland appointed as the company's first Chief Product Officer.
Friedland joins the company after serving as Chief Product Officer most recently at Ancestry and at Glassdoor prior to that - but her time at eBay in various high level roles, including VP Local & Seller Experience is most likely to be of interest to sellers wondering what she might bring to the Posh Party.

At eBay, Friedland was focused on the tools, services, data, dashboard and technologies that powered seller success - which is exactly what newly named CEO Namsun Kim says she'll now be bringing to Poshmark.
"In selecting Heather as our Chief Product Officer, we sought a leader who combines deep product expertise with a customer-first mindset and a sharp understanding of marketplace dynamics."
"We're entering an exciting new chapter as AI redefines how people shop, sell, and connect. With Heather's leadership, we'll accelerate innovation across our platform, expand the value we deliver to our shoppers and sellers, and position Poshmark at the forefront of fashion resale and the next generation of AI-powered commerce."
Friedland echoed the importance of leveraging AI to shape the future of shopping in her statement about the new role:
"I'm thrilled to join Poshmark at such a pivotal moment and as a longtime Posher. I'm excited to partner with the team to bring bold, innovative solutions to the Poshmark community and scale the impact we deliver. As AI reshapes the future of shopping—making experiences more intuitive, personalized, and human—I see enormous opportunity for Poshmark to lead the way in redefining how people discover, connect, and find joy in shopping together."
The move comes as Poshmark has recently had multiple high level departures with 3 of the 4 co-founders stepping down over the last several months - SVP Engineering Chetan Pungaliya in March 2025, CEO Manish Chandra in September, and SVP Seller Experience Tracy Sun just last week.

That leaves only one of the original co-founders, Chief Technology Officer Gautam Golwala, still at the company.
In this newly created role, Friedland will be responsible for delivering tools that were promised at the recent PoshFest Hackathon, as well as maintaining and improving features like Smart List, Smart Sell, and the new Feed and Discovery experience for the site introduced earlier this month.
