Poshmark is dropping their Verified Seller Program and sellers suspect Posh Pass shipping subscription membership program may be returning soon.

First, sellers who had been tapped to test out the Verified Seller Program which allowed items over $500 from select, vetted sellers to bypass Poshmark Authentication have been notified the program will end on June 10th.

We’re reaching out to share an update on the Verified Seller Program. As one of the select few in the Poshmark community who helped us test this feature, we wanted to personally thank you for your participation and give you a heads-up about what’s next.

After closely monitoring the program’s performance, we've made the decision to phase it out for now. Instead, we’re continuing to focus on our Posh Authenticate service, which we believe delivers the most value to both buyers and sellers.

The Verified Seller Program will be turned off on June 10th. After that point, all of your items that sell for $500 or more will automatically be routed to Poshmark HQ for authentication before being shipped to the buyer—no additional steps needed from you.

We really appreciate your support and partnership as we continue improving the experience for our community. Please let us know if you have any questions!

Thanks for being an amazing Poshmark seller!

And a seller on Reddit says they received an email indicating Poshmark may be testing a subscription based shipping program, but others were skeptical without proof.

Is Poshmark Now Offering Subscription Based Shipping?

Hey, is this a new service on the platform or what? I just received a message from the platform offering "Free Shipping" on all Sales/Purchases for a flat monthly fee. I'm both a Buyer/Seller and this sounds like a righteous deal. Has anyone else gotten a similar message?

The platform originally introduced a similar offering, called Posh Pass, in October 2024 alongside major changes to their fee structure.

The program was only offered to Posh Ambassadors in the US, offering buyers a discounted shipping rate of only $5.95 on their purchases from these sellers.

Poshmark was going to cover 100% of the difference in shipping costs for those included in the pilot program until December 31, 2024, with the understanding that after that time changes would be made to the program and sellers who wished to continue to participate would likely be paying a monthly fee for the privilege.

FAQS
Will this program be available to non-Posh Ambassadors?
Our goal is to eventually extend this program to the larger seller community, but for now, the beta phase will be limited to Posh Ambassadors. Learn more about becoming a Posh Ambassador here.

Will this program extend past December 31, 2024?
We’re hopeful to extend it based on the results we see during the beta phase. Stay tuned for updates!

What if I already have $4.99 or free shipping built into my listings?
The best available deal will always be prioritized, ensuring that buyers receive the most advantageous shipping option. If there are multiple shipping promotions, the one that offers the greatest discount will be applied.

Will the discounted shipping be applied to any type of order?
The discount applies to Offers, Buy Now, Consignment, and Posh Show orders. Wholesale orders are excluded.

But when Poshmark reversed course on the new fee structure after massive user backlash, they also ended the Posh Pass pilot test.

It's not clear from that Reddit post if whatever Poshmark may be planning will still be a seller-paid subscription model or if they might switch to a buyer-paid subscription service, like Etsy's Insider program which was also introduced last year.

While technically it wouldn't really be "free" shipping if someone is paying for it with a subscription fee, users may still be happy to get some relief on shipping costs (assuming the subscription price is worth it), especially since Poshmark also recently increased the price of Posh Post shipping, giving only one day notice before higher rates went into effect.

Poshmark is increasing the cost of Posh Post shipping by $0.30 from $7.97 to $8.27, effective April 3, 2025.
