eBay Standard Envelope Expansion Hits Category Snag
eBay sellers were excited this week with the announcement that eBay Standard Envelope shipping has been expanded to include stickers, patches, greeting cards and seeds, but in typical eBay fashion the expansion has hit a snag as sellers report they are unable to update their listings to offer the service.
Needs to add all the patches categories to ebay standard shipping... I cant ship police or fire patches not available
The new option in the greeting card category for shipping went into effect yesterday. I have been trying since then to revise the shipping on my listings with no luck.
Was on live chat for maybe a good 45 minutes this evening still no luck. They suggested several good ideas but none of them worked. Could too many sellers be trying to revise their listings to this option at the same time? Just a thought. Trying to figure out the problem. For now I deleted my greeting card listings.
I would guess that the ESE option is only available in specific categories...even tho Greeting cards could logically be listed in several categories.
I just reviewed my patches that I have listed and only about 20% now have ESE as an option. Not sure how they can implement this as some patches are listed in a special interest category that do not have a patch subcategory. They will need to create a patch category with a number of subcategories such as military, police, but most importantly "other".
I have been trying all day to revise my greeting card listings but it won’t push through. Was on live chat for some time this evening tying to get help with no luck. The option is there. Once you click on it, it disappears in about three seconds. I deleted my greeting card listings for now. Maybe it’s a glitch that will clear up in a few days. I wonder why shipping options go by category?
Sellers have requested eBay community staff to provide a full list of sub-categories that qualify since patches, stickers, and greeting cards in particular may be listed in multiple categories on the site, but so far eBay has not been forthcoming with that information.
