UPDATE 10-20-25

After this issue appeared to be resolved yesterday, sellers are once again reporting Organic impressions and views are not being shown in eBay Traffic Reports for October 20, 2025.

There are also multiple posts in the UK and Canada eBay community forums, so it appears to be a global issue.

eBay still has not acknowledged the issue or provided a timeline for a fix.

eBay sellers are once again experiencing technical issues with impression and view analytics shown in Seller Hub as Traffic reports appear to be completely missing any Organic stats starting October 18, 2025.

One affected seller provided Value Added Resource with screenshots showing the problem, saying their stats have seemed "off" for several days but today it was particularly bad - again showing only Promoted impressions and views, when there should be Organic views as well.

Sellers in the eBay community also reported experiencing the issue.

Organic Listing Views Not Tabulating

Maybe this has already been reported, but at least on my performance screen, my organic listing views are not tabulating. Anybody else have this issue? Hoping this is just a technical issue and items in my store can still be seen.

Same issue. Have zero impressions showing on desktop and the same number of impressions for the last 4 hours showing on mobile app.

While it's likely this may just be a "display" issue - where impressions and views are still happening, they just aren't being properly shown in reports - sellers are understandably worried that it may be negatively impacting visibility in search and/or actual sales as well.

This is just the latest "display issue" to impact analytics and reporting after new Promoted Listings General Ads management tools were introduced to the eBay app in August.

These ongoing technical problems also continue to erode trust in eBay as sellers grow weary of constantly wondering if things they experience are glitches or intentional but unannounced tests or changes to the site - like in 2023 when eBay ran an unannounced test which removed most promoted listings ad spots from item pages, tanking impressions for a 10 day period when the test was active.

eBay sellers scrambling for answers to sharp drop in Promoted Listings impressions - could item page testing be to blame?

Or the many other examples sellers have shared over the years of how the math on Promoted and Organic impressions and views doesn't always add up.

What Happened To eBay Promoted Listings Impressions & Views?

And just last month, sellers also experienced a recurring glitch impacting individual item view counts as well as Sales reports incorrectly showing Promoted Listings sales as Organic.

eBay Traffic Reports Incorrectly Show Promoted Listings Sales As Organic
eBay sellers once again report discrepancies in reports & analytics with Traffic page incorrectly showing Promoted Listings ad sales as Organic.

Back in 2019, eBay and then CEO Devin Wenig faced activist investor pressure from Elliott Management calling for changes at the company, with constant site glitches and technical misexecution called out explicitly as one of the major problems with the platform.

Over 6 years later, it's shocking just how much of Elliott's "Enhancing eBay" plan still rings true today.

Wenig infamously said at eBay Open 2018 that technical glitches are unacceptable and really pissed him off.

eBay has since removed the video they had posted on YouTube of the eBay Open 2018 Q&A segment, but the interviewer asked:

There've been a lot of site glitches recently on eBay. What are you guys doing to get rid of them?

And Wenig responded:

Here's the simple answer - unacceptable, unacceptable. And we're making a lot of changes. When you make changes there are times that things happen but that's not an excuse and it's not ok with me and this summer in particular there have been a number of issues that directly impacted sellers like people not being able to see their view counts and a few other things and it's just not ok.

I'm extremely proud of a lot of things we've done, I'm not proud of that and in fact I hold my team accountable and it's not important, it's an internal matter but, we made changes to people and teams because shipping product that isn't ready is not ok. It's not ok with me and it's not ok with my team.

So the short answer is it's not like we don't get it. We are making a lot of changes and I want to make those changes, we need to make those changes, but making changes and then having to back up and fix things is not cool and I totally get it. Most of the issues from this summer have now been remedied but I was pissed off.

Mazen Rawashdeh was Chief Infrastructure and Architecture Officer at the time, but somehow managed to escape the wrath of a "pissed off" Wenig and was promoted to Chief Technology Officer, a title he still retains today despite the fact the site continues to experience far too many "glitches."

eBay has not yet acknowledged this most recent glitch and unsurprisingly, the eBay system status page shows all green with no current disruptions or outages.

Sellers impacted by this latest technical snafu can report the problem to eBay by clicking the question mark icon in the lower right of the page in the desktop experience or shaking their phone while using the eBay app.

Stay tuned for updates and let us know in the comments below if your eBay Traffic reports are missing Organic stats!
