Australia Post To Resume US Shipping, Partnering With Zonos For Customs & Duties Payments
Australia Post has announced they will be resuming shipping to the US and its territories on or before September 25th as new partnership with Zonos enables customs and duty compliance.
The temporary shutdown followed an executive order signed by President Trump ending the de minimis exemption for low value shipments on August 29, 2025.

But a new service update says they expect to be back in business later this month:
Temporary suspension of some postal services to the US
9 September 2025
Australia Post has temporarily suspended some postal services to the United States (U.S.) and its overseas territories, including Guam, Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands and the U.S. Minor Outlying Islands.
Australia Post plans to resume postal sending to the United States and its overseas territories on or before Thursday 25 September 2025.
Here's what Australia Post has to say about the new integration with Zonos that shippers will need to use to pre-pay customs and duties for US shipments:
Individuals sending personal gifts under $100 are still exempt from duties and will need to include a mandatory declaration including proper value, country of origin and HS codes, but these shippers do not need to use Zonos to send these packages.
Businesses and others who no longer qualify for an exemption will also have to comply with mandatory declaration requirements and will need to use Australia Posts's new integration with Zonos in order to pre-pay duties for these shipments.

Zonos was also chosen by Canada Post to help streamline the new customs and duties process - and here's how it's working so far:
