Collectible trading card sellers are getting an early Christmas present from Amazon this year with new Final Sale Policy blocking returns and refunds for Trading Card Games and Collectibles sold via Fulfillment By Amazon (FBA).

The new policy went into effect October 1, 2025 and was met with a positive response in the Amazon seller forums and across social media - though it does still allow the caveat that buyers can still report if the items were received damaged.

On October 1, 2025, we introduced Final Sale return policy for collectible cards sold through Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA). This change helps protect both you and customers by clearly indicating to customers that collectible cards can’t be returned before they make their purchase.

Final Sale products are non-returnable and non-refundable, with clear notifications displayed to customers on product detail pages, cart, and checkout.

This policy applies to Collectible cards. Collectible cards will be automatically classified as Final Sale based on their category attributes. You can't opt in or opt out of this classification. If you believe a product is incorrectly categorized, contact Selling Partner support.

Orders placed before October 1, 2025, will follow current return policies. No action is required from you.

Note: In the unlikely event that a Final Sale item arrives damaged, customers can return it via Customer Service. For more information, go to Amazon Return Policy.

The Amazon return policy page takes it even further, saying this Final Sale policy will also apply to Funk Pops.

There are also products that are Final Sale, such as Trading Card Games and Collectibles, and specific discounted items which are nonreturnable and non-refundable...

  • Discounted items that are marked as "Final Sale"
  • Collectibles such as Trading Card games and Funko Pop figures and accessories

This change is especially good news heading into the holiday gift buying season where Amazon extends the return window for most items beginning November 1st.

Amazon’s extended holiday return policy starts November 1, 2025, giving shoppers until January 31, 2026 to return most holiday gift purchases.

The moves comes as Amazon faces competition in sports and collectible card game categories from eBay and also increasingly from Walmart, which has pushed hard to carve out market share in this space over the last year - with the help of a lot of ex-eBay talent.
