Amazon Reveals 2025 Prime Big Deal Days, Sellers Wait For Extended Holiday Return Dates

Amazon has revealed dates for their Prime Big Deals Days event, set to take place October 7-8 while sellers wait for extended holiday returns announcement.
The Fall Prime event promises deals on millions of items to help kick off the holiday shopping season, with some early access savings available now.

Prime members will be able to shop millions of deals from Amazon’s wide selection from beauty and electronics to must-have gifts and seasonal essentials starting October 7 at 12:01 a.m. PDT—but if you’re eager to start checking items off your holiday lists sooner, you won’t have to wait. Prime members can begin unlocking incredible savings starting now.
Meanwhile, sellers are waiting for the official word of when extended returns will kick in for the 2025 holiday season.
In 2022, the extended holiday return policy was announced on September 30, with an effective date of October 7, leaving a very short amount of time for sellers to prepare, but after significant pushback, the extend returns timeframe was moved to November 1st in 2023 to exempt items being sold during Amazon's Fall Prime sale event - and was again set at November 1 in 2024.

While Amazon has yet to announce an exact date for when extended holiday returns will go into effect for 2025, it's a good bet they'll likely stick with that November 1 start date and will likely go through December 31, with most purchases made between those dates returnable through January 31, 2026 - though in the past Amazon has made a slight exception for Apple brand products, allowing them to only be returned until January 15th.
