Poshmark Shakes Up For You Feed Visibility & Discovery With Focus On Trust Factors & On Time Shipping
Poshmark is rolling out a new For You Feed to all buyers, shaking up visibility and discovery with a focus on building trust in the marketplace.
Per a company blog post, the For You Feed Poshmark has been testing will now be the only option shown to buyers (replacing the old Following Feed) and starting next month, sellers will have trust-building insights like items sold, last active time, and average ship time shown on their profiles.

Discovery is now easier and more personalized.
Shopper engagement has grown significantly with the new For You Feed, confirming it's a better way for shoppers to find your listings. Based on that success, the For You Feed has replaced the Following Feed and is available to all shoppers.Trust is becoming more visible.
Buyers want to know they can count on you. That's why starting November 3rd, your profile will highlight items sold, last active time, and average ship time. These key insights help turn browsers into buyers.
Average Ship Time measures how quickly an order is shipped once it's placed and is calculated by taking the average time from when the sale is made to when the mail carrier scans the package into their systems.
To maximize visibility and sales, Poshmark is advising sellers to:
- Power discovery with quality listings
- Complete listing details (brand, size, condition) and avoid keyword stuffing so search can connect buyers with your listings accurately.
- Use clear titles, detailed descriptions, competitive pricing, and high-quality photos.
- Stay active and responsive
- Log in regularly, list new items, and keep your closet up to date.
- Respond quickly to shopper comments and offers, and leverage tools like Offer to Likers and Price Drops. Active, responsive closets are prioritized in discovery.
- Build trust through consistency and reliability
- Ship orders on time and avoid cancellations to strengthen your Closet Stats and turn first-time buyers into repeat customers.
Sharing and following will still be an important part of the user experience on Poshmark, but in differents ways:
- Sharing counts as activity and refreshes your listings in the Just Shared sort in Search.
- Sharing others’ listings is still a way to support the community, but it no longer impacts listing visibility in the Feed.
- Following helps you stay connected with the community, but it doesn’t impact how shoppers discover your listings.
Sellers discussing the changes on Reddit had mixed views, with some wondering what the point of sharing will now be with the new feed and others suspecting it will allow Poshmark to push paid advertising options like Promoted Closet even more to boost company revenue, at the expense of sellers.
My take… It sounds to me like sharing other listings is useless, as it only shows that person you shared their item. Sharing your own listings supposedly helps keep your listings closer to the top of the search.
I read the blog post and it seems as though sharing your own as well other people's listings will be a waste of time. Engagement seems to boost "Closet Stats" and not much else.
I feel like everything I know about how Poshmark works is now obsolete and as usual they did not provide any resl guidance for navigating the new update and making sales.
I mean if they tell poshers how, then sellers will abuse it. That's the problem. They gotta be somwhat vague and just aim at promoting activity on closet.
But this in effect, will allow them to push promoted closets more and make it more effective on feeds. Poshmark is probably trying to make more money by having a feed which they can fully control.
