eBay UK Confirms DHL Removed Temporarily From Simple Delivery, Sellers Left Without Bulky Item Option
eBay UK has officially confirmed DHL has been temporarily removed from Simple Delivery, leaving some private sellers no options to ship larger, bulky items that are mandated to use the managed shipping program.
Sellers have noted significant issues with DHL service for heavy items in Simple Delivery since it was introduced in August, with many saying the courier is failing to collect items, which is particularly problematic since these labels don't include a QR code to allow the seller to drop the package off themselves.
After weeks of increasing reports of problems with DHL, some sellers reported earlier this month that the option had disappeared from the listings, with eBay support reps advising the service had been "temporarily" suspended while they make updates, but no official public announcement at that time.

The problem now appears to be getting worse, with some sellers saying they no longer have an option to ship anything large, bulky items over 61cm through Simple Delivery, and no option to use custom postage instead.

Hi can someone please help as I’m not sure what’s happened, has eBay change their simple delivery size limits, I can’t find anything about this on their website. I’ve used DHL simple delivery months and suddenly I can’t use dhl anymore due to it saying simple delivery is unavailable for this size etc. please help this is ruining my eBay business.
One community pointed out that it looked like this seller should be registered as a business, rather than private, account and that doing so would allow them to avoid Simple Delivery all together - which is true, at least for now.
And community staff, Kat@eBay, responded to confirm that DHL is temporarily unavailable for some items but that the option for customer postage should still be available and if not, the seller will need to contact support for further assistance.
Ebay is currently updating delivery options and as part of this the DHL option for bulky items may not be appearing for some new listings. However if this option is not appearing it should be giving a custom postage option.
