eBay Shipping Glitch Disables USPS Ground Advantage
eBay sellers looking to purchase USPS Ground Advantage labels through the platform are stymied as apparent glitch disables the option, saying eBay keeps diverting them to purchase UPS or FedEx labels instead.
Shipping labels not working
Trying to print label and it keeps reverting to UPS or FedEx even though that was not on option. Says buyer selected it. Any work around?...
...Tried it on desktop and ground advantage is greyed out.
Shipping Changing on all Listings
Today, 10/17/25 the shipping changed on all my 188 listings from ground advantage, to showing a message, please ask seller for a shipping quote. When I go into revise, it still shows ground advantage chosen, so there is nothing I can change.
When looking at my listings as a buyer, they are seeing ask seller for a shipping quote. Why is this happening? Is anyone else seeing this?
We are experiencing the same issue, but we also offer Free Local Pickup. We have thousands of listings and many of them were listed with shipping options, but now we have hundreds of these listings saying Local Pickup Only.
We have buyers that that have won items and now they say they are only offered the Local Pickup option so this is a huge glitch. We are getting inundated with messages from buyers asking what is going on. I hope eBay technicians and on this and fix it fast!
When a shipping option is greyed out as these sellers report, it typically indicates a either technical disruption in the connection between eBay and the shipping carrier or that the item details like dimension or weight exceed what the carrier allows for that service, preventing the rate from being accurately calculated.
One affected seller says that rearranging the order in which the dimensions were entered allowed the price from Ground Advantage to be calculated - but that it shouldn't have made a difference because the package was a very small lightweight box and changing the order of the dimensions wouldn't change the overall rate calculation.

Sellers who are impacted by this issue may want to try deleting and re-entering and/or changing the order of dimensions as a possible workaround, even for small packages, as a way to try to make the eBay shipping calculator to try to reload the rate information for USPS Ground Advantage.
If updating the dimensions does not work, sellers may need to wait for eBay to resolve the error or purchase labels elsewhere for shipments that need to go out today.
eBay has not yet acknowledged the issue or provided a timeline for it to be fixed.
