eBay sellers noticed a change in Seller Hub today as Ended and Unsold items have been consolidated under new Inactive status - but unsurprisingly, the rollout is not going smoothly as some sellers report glitches with the new layout.

Seller and YouTuber Jon at Flippin' Aint Easy spotted the change when ending and relisting items today, telling viewers not to be alarmed if their Seller Hub options have updated.

The change appears to be a phased rollout, so not all account may be seeing it yet, but for those who have been opted into the new layout, eBay shows a message that says "Introducing 'inactive" listings. This page now includes all previously active listings that are no longer visible to buyers. It replaces 'Ended' and "Unsold" statuses."

And when navigating through Seller Hub, under Listings, sellers will now only see the Inactive option.

Some sellers in the eBay community forum are concerned that they no longer see a message indicating listings will be retained for 90 days.

unsold is now inactive?

in my store's seller hub, when clicking on 'unsold', a msg box popped up, saying that 'unsold' and 'ended' is being replaced with 'inactive'. it no longer says 'listings are good for 90 days'.

are the listings in inactive still good for 90 days, or has it changed?

Since this appears to be simply a design change which shouldn't fundamentally alter the functionality, the 90 day timeframe likely still applies.

And unsurprisingly, some sellers are reporting experiencing technical problems due to the change, including receiving error messages when trying to delete items from the new status.

Can't delete inactive items in the new inactive items list.

An error message appears when trying to delete manually ended items from inactive list. I like to delete these so that they don't accidently get relisted by Ebay. The delete button is available, but produces a red error that it is not working at this time. This must be related to all of the other issues that have occurred with this recent update.
