Team Access

eBay has rebranded Multi-User Account Access to Team Access, allowing sellers to give limited access to team members to help manage their business.

A better way to share account access
Formerly Multi-User Account Access, the newly-improved Team Access is here to improve security and ensure a more seamless experience. This exciting new upgrade includes a redesigned user dashboard for a more intuitive way to invite and grant access to additional users.

Teamwork made simple and secure
It’s easy for new team members to accept their access invite and for account owners to grant permissions and track activity on their account. To protect your privacy, Team Access allows you to control how much access you give your added users, so you can keep your personal information safe.

What users can collaborate on

  • Listing: create, edit, post and manage draft and live listings
  • Orders: track, manage and update postage information
  • Messaging: reply to buyers and manage messages
  • Marketing: create and manage discounts, buyer groups and ad campaigns
  • Research: learn more about items, including pricing and sale trends

How to use Team Access

  • Make sure you opt in to Seller Hub
  • Locate the Team Access dashboard under Account Settings > Account Permissions > Team Access
  • Select Add a team member and provide their first name, last name and email address. You can also include a message in the invite.
  • In the Choose what they can do section, select what permissions you would like that team member to have.
  • Click Send invite and your team member will receive an email prompting them to join your team. They will have 4 days to accept your invitation.
  • After accepting, your team members can now perform tasks depending on the permissions you’ve granted them.

Monitor your team’s activity in the Team activity tab of your Team Access dashboard. You can also look forward to redesigned dashboards for Account, Team Members and Activity Audit coming soon.

Shipping Reminders

What you need to know
Getting orders out on time is a crucial part of delivering a great buyer experience and protecting your seller ratings. With our postage reminders, we’re helping you keep your orders on track.

A day after an order’s promised handling time, you’ll get an extra nudge to send it out. We’ll send these reminders via email and notify you through the eBay app if you have it.

Once you get your postage label, you can manually add the tracking number to the order, or have it added automatically when you use eBay Labels.

After that, you’ll get two more notifications: one confirming the item has been postage and is on its way to the buyer, and another once it’s been delivered.

Next Steps
There’s no action required on your end. Just keep an eye out for postage notifications to help make sure your items reach buyers on time.

Cross-border Return Policy

Australian sellers who forward-deploy inventory to warehouses in the US will soon need to provide a US return address when selling on the eBay.com site.

What you need to know
We’ve updated our returns requirements to give your customers a smooth and reliable returns process that helps build confidence and encourages more sales.

Starting 3 November, if you ship your items from the US but you have a return address outside the US, you’ll need to provide one of the following:

  • A return address based inside the US
  • A pre-paid returns label
  • A partial or full refund without requesting the item be returned

If your return address is already based in the US, there’s no change for you.

This policy only applies to items being fulfilled from an address within the US. Items shipped directly to a US customer from an address outside the US will not be impacted by this change.

Sellers who wish to be able to communicate with buyers or upload their own labels for these cross-border trade returns will need to turn on RMA (Return Merchandise Authorisation) in the returns preference settings.

Stay tuned for October seller updates for eBay US, UK, Canada, and Germany!
