eBay Annoys Sellers With Item Delivered Email Auto-Opt In
eBay sellers annoyed and frustrated after being auto-opted in to new item delivered emails, leading to communication setting confusion.
The new email notifications appear to have started sometime in the last week, advising sellers that a particular order has been delivered to the buyer.
Unfortunately, the email does not provide any other details like the listing title to help the seller see at a glance which item the email refers to - instead simply serving up sales stats and urging the seller to "list your next item."

Sellers took to the eBay community forum to air their annoyance and ask if there's a way to turn these emails off.
Annoying item delivered emails
Have been receiving emails starting last week every time an item that I sold is delivered and that I should keep it going. Never received these before, there is no way to turn them off.
Is anyone else frustrated by this? After selling on 26 years now they’re gonna send me an email every time something is delivered and give me a pat on the back telling me to continue it.
Some suggested using the option to "rate this email" which allows you to leave a comment.

I left a less-than-flattering comment about it using the link at the bottom of the message. I said I was perfectly capable of following the tracking myself if I ever needed to know whether it had been delivered, and asked (rhetorically) what I was supposed to do with the knowledge that the package had arrived.
After all, I know enough to not go pestering the buyer to leave feedback. That would not end well. I ended my comment to eBay with some crystal-clear wording: "Please stop it."
Others pointed to a new option under seller communication settings, assuming that unchecking the box for "item received" will stop these emails.

But that only caused more confusion as sellers noted that it appears eBay has apparently unchecked the "item sold" option, but they are still receiving "item sold" emails, while not receiving most of the emails that do still have check marks.
I took a look at mine and almost every single one of those is checked, including the annoying Delivered messages that we're talking about here. I can only assume that they've been added recently, and in checked form, as I cannot recall ever seeing those before and would definitely not have opted in to most any of them.
That's bonkers. I just looked at mine and almost everything is checked but item sold. Are these set to be the opposite? I do get item sold emails and I'm not getting most of the others that are checked. BTW--I know I didn't check off all the stuff either, but I would definitely have checked item sold. I just left mine as is for now.
