In a bid to sidestep the full weight of eBay’s cyberstalking scandal, ex-CEO Devin Wenig, ex-Chief Communications Officer Steve Wymer, and former Global Operations chief Wendy Jones are pushing to split the claims against them from the corporation and security staff who carried out the crimes.

CEO Jamie Iannone rang in eBay's 30th anniversary on CNBC's Squawk Box with bold claims on AI & authentication program success, saying no counterfeits have ever passed through the company's authentication facilities.

eBay founder Pierre Omidyar launched the ecommerce marketplace, then known as AuctionWeb over Labor Day weekend in 1995 as a site "dedicated to bringing together buyers and sellers in an honest and open marketplace" based on the premise that "people are basically good" - but 30 years later, shady strikethrough pricing and fake discount deals are openly encouraged and promoted by the company as part of their Labor Day weekend sale.

Sellers experienced a glitch in the eBay listing form preventing them from adding package weight and dimensions this, raising questions about the possibility Simple Delivery managed shipping expanding to the US.

As UK private sellers continue to pushback on Simple Delivery mandate, eBay is once again loosening restrictions, allowing more items priced at £20 or less to opt out.

Etsy continues to move full steam ahead integrating AI into various parts of the marketplace with a new writing assistant to help sellers craft messages to buyers, but sellers have been pushing back on the increasing use of AI, wondering how it fits with Etsy's suppose purpose to "keep commerce human."

Etsy announced today that Nick Daniel is stepping down from his role as Chief Product Officer effective September 5, 2025 but will continue in an advisory capacity until October to help newly promoted Rafe Colburn get up to speed.

The lawsuit filed by Nike against StockX has settled, with both sides responsible for paying their own attorney's fees, expenses & costs but no other terms of the settlement disclosed.

Bonanza missed 9/2 deadline to respond to pixel tracking privacy lawsuit, opening door for the plaintiff to move for default - but they've yet to do so, resulting in an order that a response to the original complaint, a notice of voluntary dismissal or request for entry of default must be filed by 9/12 to avoid dismissal.
