eBay CEO Jamie Iannone and CFO Peggy Alford once again joined Goldman Sachs annual Communacopia Technology Conference serving up oft repeated hype with little substance added - and a bit of truth-stretching on the side.

Judge Patti Saris has ruled to exclude Dr. Adam Galinsky's expert testimony in eBay cyberstalking scandal suit, agreeing with the company, ex-CEO Devin Wenig, ex-Comms Chief Steve Wymer & VP Global Ops Wendy Jones that it wouldn't help jurors "understand the evidence or determine a fact in issue."

Sellers say eBay's latest "magical" AI tool is another letdown as Store banner image generator provides irrelevant images with no way to edit or refine results.

eBay Open 2025 revealed the company may be quietly using AI to alter product images for external search and ad placements, catching many sellers by surprise and sparking fresh concerns about transparency, control, and how much say sellers really have over their own listings.

eBay has taken down their dedicated Advertising website & blog, redirecting links to Seller Center & fueling speculation US sellers are next in line for costly Promoted Listings ads attribution updates.

eBay is tightening restrictions on international sales to the US with blocks on shipping from overseas warehouses and lower maximum item value limits for many overseas sellers without a dedicated account rep.

Sellers are once again reporting discrepancies in eBay reports and analytics with Traffic page in Seller Hub incorrectly showing Promoted Listings ad sales as Organic.

eBay experience a major technical issue this week as "update account information" glitch threatened sellers with account restrictions if tracking was not provided for orders where tracking had already been uploaded.

Shopify Chief Operating Officer VP Product, Kaz Nejatian is stepping down on September 12 to take on a new leadership role as CEO of AI-powered real estate platform Opendoor.

Poshmark is making big changes to their shipping offering hoping lower rates will outweigh slower service with switch from Priority Mail to Ground Advantage in new contract deal with USPS.

The Postal Regulatory Commission has unsurprisingly approved a "temporary" holiday rate increase but notably, the Public Representative called it a method by which USPS extracts revenues “by twisting the financial screws on the wallets of holiday participants”, adding that he hoped the Postal Service could focus more on reducing costs.

UPS and FedEx have also announced Peak Season and early 2026 rate changes.

Canada Post has released new details about their partnership with Zonos to help shippers comply with US customs and duties requirements after the de minimis exemption officially ended on August 29th.

Australia Post has announced they will be resuming shipping to the US and its territories on or before September 25th as new partnership with Zonos enables customs and duty compliance.
