US-based Klarna app users can now list their previous purchases on Poshmark using streamlined functionality with pre-filled product descriptions and images.

Women's Wear Daily reports the new partnership takes advantage of Klarna's resale offering to boost circular economy transactions, empowering consumers to earn money from their wardrobes (paywalled).

EXCLUSIVE: Klarna Announces Poshmark Partnership With In-app Resale Integration
Klarna and Poshmark team up to simplify sustainability with resale, empowering users in the U.S. to monetize wardrobes with streamlined in-app features.

Klarna Chief Commercial Officer, David Sykes, told WWD the partnership was created from the “shared goal to simplify resale and empower millions of consumers to actively participate in the circular economy.”

“This collaboration redefines how users engage with resale by enabling them to list eligible items from past Klarna purchases with just a few taps — product details and images are automatically populated, turning a traditionally manual and inconvenient process into a quick, seamless and intuitive experience.”

Poshmark CEO Manish Chandra said, “At Poshmark, we’re always looking for innovative ways to remove friction from the resale experience and empower people to easily bring their closets online. This commitment created a natural opening to collaborate with Klarna. Imagine a Klarna shopper who no longer wants an item they just purchased; our partnership offers a seamless path for them to embrace resale as a cost-effective alternative.”

But Poshmark isn't the only popular online marketplace taking advantage of Klarna's built in reselling features - eBay also announced a partnership with the company in April that would take advantage of those same capabilities while also offering Buy Now Pay Later options to buyers on the platform.

eBay Klarna Partnership Expands To US With Buy Now Pay Later & Reselling Capabilities
eBay’s partnership with Klarna is coming to the US, offering buyers more flexible ways to pay & new streamlined reselling capabilities.

While Poshmark does not list Klarna as an officially accepted payment method, it does appear that buyers may be able to use it to shop on the site via Apple Pay, where available.
