“Update Account Info” Error Sparks Panic As eBay Flags Orders With Valid Tracking
eBay sellers hit with "update account information" glitch, threatening account restrictions if tracking is not provided for orders where tracking was already uploaded.

I logged in to eBay to print out a sale is got this shock at the top of seller hub page:
! Your seller account is at risk
Resolve open issues by Sep 13, 2025 to avoid account restrictions. (followed by a link)Why? The sale isn't even 2 hours old....we have 100% across board for all marks as well as positive feedback. It almost gave me a heart attack. Seriously!! I don't feel a seller should be subjected to this until it is past the shipping time for the sale, or at least within 6 hours of being at risk of missing the shipping time.
Then, when I clicked the link I got this message:
Update your account information
To avoid delays in receiving your payouts, we need you to review and update the details below.Here's what we need
- Add tracking to shipments
- Provide tracking details for eBay to confirm delivery. If you don't have tracking, the task will resolve when eBay confirms the buyer received the item (followed by another link)
Same here; I only have two active sales that are being shipped right now, and both of them have tracking numbers in ebay. All other orders have long since been delivered.
I confirmed my identity again just in case, though was sufficiently annoyed by the whole thing. I would be extremely miffed if this held up the payout I had scheduled for tomorrow.
I have the same issue, yet all my orders have been shipped, so it is 100% an issue on Ebay's end. Not surprising since I also have been experiencing loading errors multiple times a day every day in the seller dashboard for over two weeks now.
eBay community forum staff have confirmed this is a technical issue with an open trouble ticket.
Thank you for reporting this issue. There is a sitewide ticket open for sellers being requested to upload tracking, but all orders have tracking information. The ticket is currently being looked at for resolution under ALERT16176.
