eBay Live Livestream Buyers Disappointed By Discount Runaround
eBay has been doling out significant discount incentives in effort to entice buyers to try livestream shopping, but promised coupons are nowhere to be found months later, leaving buyers with a bad taste in their mouth about eBay Live.
The invite only promotion offered discounts up to $100 off simply by making at least one $10+ purchase via an eBay Live show.

What is the Promotion?
Invited buyers (“Buyer” or “Buyers”) who buy an item for a minimum price of $10 during the eBay live event within the Promotion Period (as defined below) pursuant to the terms and conditions set forth herein (“Qualifying Purchase”), are eligible to earn a multi-use eBay Coupon (“Coupon”) worth up to $100 off a minimum purchase of $200. The coupon may be used up to 4 times with a minimum purchase price of $50 per transaction to get $25 off.
An item is defined as purchased when it is paid in full by the buyer.
How do I earn the Coupon?
The Coupon will be awarded within two weeks after the Qualifying purchase is completed. Once awarded, the Coupon will be visible in "My eBay.”eBay will also send an email with the Coupon. The value of the Coupon will be worth up to $100 off a minimum purchase of $200 up to 4 redemptions of $25 each. Minimum purchase price $50 per coupon to get $25 off.
But despite the terms and conditions stating that the coupon will be available to the buyer 2 weeks after the qualifying purchase, multiple buyers say they still haven't received it almost 2 months later.
Help with eBay Live promotion for $100 coupon // missing coupon even after 2 weeks
As the subject line suggests, this post is about how I haven't received my coupon from the eBay Live promotion (which required purchasing a $10+ item from eBay Live and would reward a coupon worth up to $100), specifically the one that ended on July 10th (and not the new promotion with the same offer that expires August 12th). Just for clarification, I was invited to this promotion by email (and, naturally, the email connected with this account).
I received an email from eBay on June 21st inviting me to participate in the "shop ebayLive and get a $100 coupon" promotion. I then joined an eBayLive stream and bid on a $11.95 item and won it for that price ($17.38 with shipping). I also bought several other items and spent around $40 total. The items were delivered to me on June 27th. It has been more than two weeks since then, yet I have not received the coupon that would supposedly be delivered within that window. And to add insult to injury, I have just today received an email inviting me to a repeat of the same promotion but expiring in August.
I was hoping someone here could help me with this issue as I have already contacted eBay customer service several times without resolution. One representative on the phone even tried to suggest there was no such promotion (despite it not just being shown in my email but also viewable on the front page of the eBay website itself).
It would be great to hear from anyone from (or with experience in dealing with) eBay customer support that could maybe point me in the right direction. I'd also just love to hear from anyone who is having a similar issue.
Other buyers chimed into that eBay community forum thread saying they too had not yet received their coupon, despite making a qualifying purchase more than 2 weeks previously.

Same exact issue with same exact offer. It's been a month since I fulfilled the requirements and haven't received the coupon. I've read, re-read, and analyzed the entire terms and conditions, which are admittedly quite basic. The Ebay chat representative even said I definitely fulfilled all requirements and they would pass it on to the team. That was 2 weeks ago and nothing. Luckily, I have the entire chat transcript that Ebay sends after chat help.
I'm going to keep following up until a resolution happens. Just for clarity: It's a multi-use coupon for $25 off $50+ purchase, usable up to 4 times.
I'm having similar issues, eBay says it has been a systemwide issue, as well as an IT issue.
Another person here who has yet to get it. Did 2 purchases. One was exactly $10. Another over. Both within the time frame and well over 2 weeks. One at the beginning of the month. The bar was low and I expected nothing less but it's still disappointing.
CEO Jamie Iannone has increasingly been resorting to legacy discounting tactics like this (which he had previously criticized his predecessor Devin Wenig for using), offering significant sales events and coupons to boost quarterly financial results.

And unfortunately, this isn't the first time one of those promotions has left buyers in the lurch - many have been disappointed when recent discount sale events have ended early, with some even expecting sellers to make up for eBay's broken promises.

But leaving buyers with a bad taste in their mouth about eBay Live may be particularly problematic as the company is currently pouring an enormous amount of resources into hyping Live as the future of ecommerce shopping.
