Hi everyone! As we approach the summer season, consider joining our Summer Sales Event which will include a gradual increasing discount over multiple weeks.

Summer sales are very common in France and we’ll target our marketing for the sales event to shoppers there. This localized event is an exciting opportunity for you to attract shoppers in France.

The sales event is almost a month long, so we recommend you schedule three sales with increasing discounts. To participate, schedule the following sales:

Offer at least 10% off from June 22-28
Offer at least 20% off from June 29-July 12
Offer at least 30% off from July 13-19

To make your sale extra sweet, consider offering a deeper discount of 50% off on past season inventory that you want to clear out of your shop.

Schedule your Summer Sales Event here.

Meanwhile in the Etsy community, some sellers have had mixed results with another recent special sale promotion.

"Special" Sale Disappointment

Why won't I learn? Once again, I signed up for the "special" sale Etsy encouraged - the one running now from May 25-June 2. This time Etsy's wording suggested "up to" 20% off which I liked because I wanted to do 15%. This time my shop is not only deader 'n a doornail, but it's buried.

I checked out the sale post/email Etsy put out and saw a Bathroom section and thought yay! (that's my best selling item, - until lately that is) and what followed was pages upon pages of mostly store bought towels....now I realize one can buy towels and embellish them & sell them, here, but there were countless Macys-looking or Bed 'n Bath-looking towel sets ...sure lots of linen ones, too, but unembellished and lots of Turkish towels, but do I believe all of those types were handmade by a shop owner - there are even companies that own a store here and put up their towels - where do those companies get those towels - some factory supplier.

So while I thought it was a perfect opportunity for some of my little 100% handmade items to make it in this category - not a chance! Not even close! Now maybe I missed it - I didn't peruse the pages and pages any more after about a half hour, but I find it odd that you can sell hundreds upon hundreds of your favorite item (over 5 years) and put 'em on sale? Nada. Zero. Nope. Nuttin'. Zilch.

For one who is normally bright and cheery, I am.........disappointed. So - I don't have a question but I sure would like answers, or maybe just hopeful comments. I'm running out.
