eBay Seller Webinars Off To Rough Start With Tech Issues & Survey Link Snafu
eBay's new monthly webinar series got off to a rough start today with technical issues and a survey link snafu.
The seller webinar series, announced earlier this month, kicked off with a session on Promoted Listings advertising strategies with eBay Ads team members on hand provide an overview of how to use various ad products.

Initially, some sellers had technical difficulties accessing the live presentation, posting in the in-session chat stream that they were unable to see or hear anything until after refreshing the page multiple times.
Once the session got going, it became clear this was going to be more of a general "how to" webinar and while there was a short Q&A segment at the end, the hosts shied away from more confrontational questions about the new attribution policy
The eBay team also avoided questions asking for more details about the new Custom Promoted Stores campaigns that were announced last month but still haven't rolled out to sellers.

But the biggest disappoint of call came after the webinar ended - sellers received an email invite to participate in a that contained a broken link and didn't match the gift card offer that Director, Community & Engagement, Rebecca Michals, described at the end of the event.
Michals told attendees "from all of our survey respondents, we are going to randomly select 50 of you to win a $50 eBay gift card" but the email said "we will randomly select 50 survey respondents to receive a $25 eBay gift card."
Sellers took to the eBay community to call out the broken link and gift card discrepancy.

Survey link is "not found", both on firefox and chrome.....
Gift card was to be $50 to 50 respondents according to Rebecca. Going To wait a bit to sign up..........lol
I messaged. They assured me the link is working, but it is not. Not on any device or browser I tried, no matter if I cleared cashe. Disappointed.
eBay staff responded with an updated link, and sellers also received an email with an apology and the new link, but the question about the gift card was ignored.
thanks..........that survey says $25..........the two of us, listening separately both heard $50..........going to be some complaints.......
The replay is now available. Rebecca clearly states $50 gift cards for 50 winners at about the 1 hour mark.
That's so eBay. Make sure to give eBay the proper feedback when you take that survey.
No matter how it turns out, the look of it is not good for them. They look like chislers, welchers, street performers playing 3 card montey on a cardboard box, in a back alley, etc., etc., etc.......
